Leave Well

Right now we are doing as much research we can into the visa process in the hopes that we can get it easily. I have emailed a couple of larger missions organizations in SA to see if they have any insight. Erik has a lawyer friend in SA he will talk to.

We met one of the board members Friday and got to know them and shared a bit of this journey with them.

We're still brainstorming fundraising ideas...just waiting to make sure everyone who should know we're going knows before we start "going public."

We are also still throwing away and donating things, as well as selling some more valuable items.

Something that is so important which we have been working on is strengthening our relationships. Our marriage especially will be put to the test most likely so we are focusing on working through some issues and learning to understand each other. (This is something married couples should do even if they're not moving across the world!) Remember, you can't run from your problems (with others, yourself, and/or God). Issues that you have now will follow you on your journey and probably be exacerbated. If you're planning on being a missionary, I would assume your relationship with God is pretty solid, but even so...take this time to get real with God.
