Funds Update and Shirt Sale
In the interest of being transparent and assuring our financial partners that their donations will be used responsibly, we will share that at the end of September we sold our house, making us 100% debt-free and setting us up with an emergency fund and finances for our return to the States. We wanted to make sure our personal finances wouldn't be a threat to our ability to remain in South Africa as long as God calls us to. As for our mission funding: We have our start-up costs covered, and a portion of our cost-of-living for our two year commitment, but we are still looking for individuals and churches who would be willing to partner with us on a one-time or monthly basis. Last night we were going over what we have so far, and talking about how every little bit really truly does help. $5/month may be just a coffee or egg nog to most people, but that stretches in SA (converting to 75 Rand). Even more than the exchange rate, donations of any size are an encouragement to us that there are others who believe in this mission as much as we do. If you feel led to give, options can be found on our support page or you can simply click here for our gofundme. Monthly donations can be set up easily using the "donate" button on Emoyeni's website here.
We are also running a "BOGO free sale" on our Nuts for South Africa shirts through Christmas. Email me if you'd like to place an order (we will cover shipping in the US).
Suggested donations:
Youth: $10
Sleeveless and short sleeve: $20
Long sleeve: $30
